Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 29, 2026
Last Updated: April 29, 2026

The short version: ChromaCal stores your calendar data on your device and, if you choose, syncs it through your own Apple iCloud account. We have no servers, no third-party analytics, no ads, no trackers, and no access to your data. Your year is yours alone.

1. Who We Are

ChromaCal is developed and operated by Vibe2Viable LLC ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). ChromaCal is a color-coded calendar application for iPhone and iPad. This Privacy Policy explains what information ChromaCal handles and how it is handled.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at: support@vibe2viable.com

2. Information Stored on Your Device

ChromaCal stores the following data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, to provide its core functionality:

  • Calendar events you create (title, date, time, notes, and the event type you assign)
  • The event types you define and the colors you assign to them
  • App preferences (week start day, default view, accent color, and similar settings)

This data lives in the standard, sandboxed app database on your device. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally-stored data.

3. Optional iCloud Sync (CloudKit)

ChromaCal can optionally synchronize your calendar data across your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud service (CloudKit). When iCloud sync is enabled:

  • Your data is stored in your private CloudKit database under your own Apple ID.
  • Apple — not Vibe2Viable LLC — operates the iCloud servers that hold this data.
  • We have no ability to read, access, or recover the contents of your private CloudKit database.
  • Sync is end-to-end between your devices via Apple's infrastructure.

Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms. You can disable iCloud sync for ChromaCal at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the following:

  • Your email address or other contact information (unless you email us directly)
  • Your location
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Crash reports sent to our servers (we operate no servers)
  • The contents of your calendar events

ChromaCal has no user accounts. You never sign up, log in, or provide us with any personal information. The only "account" involved is your own Apple ID, which is managed by Apple.

5. No Third-Party Analytics, Advertising, or Tracking

ChromaCal does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, attribution frameworks, crash reporting services, or social media SDKs. There are no hidden trackers in the app.

The only frameworks integrated into ChromaCal beyond Apple's standard SDKs are:

  • Apple StoreKit 2 — used to manage the in-app subscription purchase flow.
  • Apple CloudKit — used (only when you enable it) for iCloud sync.

Both are first-party Apple frameworks. Neither transmits personal data to Vibe2Viable LLC. We may receive anonymized, aggregated statistics from Apple (such as install counts and crash counts) through App Store Connect; these cannot identify individual users.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

ChromaCal offers an auto-renewable annual subscription at $1.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store via StoreKit 2.

We do not collect, process, or store any payment information — including your credit card number, billing address, or Apple ID. We only receive a confirmation from Apple that a valid purchase or active entitlement exists, so the app can unlock subscriber features.

Your purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and App Store terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

7. Notifications and Widgets

ChromaCal includes a Home Screen widget that displays your calendar visualization. The widget reads only from your local on-device data; it does not communicate with any server.

If ChromaCal sends you any notifications, they are scheduled and delivered locally on-device by iOS. We do not operate a push notification service and no data leaves your device to trigger a notification.

8. JSON Export and Import

ChromaCal allows you to export your full calendar data to a portable JSON file at any time, and to restore from that file. Exports happen entirely on-device. The file is yours; we never receive a copy of it.

9. No Data Sharing or Sale

Because we do not collect personal data, we have no personal data to share or sell. We do not share information with:

  • Advertisers or marketing companies
  • Data brokers
  • Other app developers
  • Any third parties whatsoever

10. Children's Privacy

ChromaCal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because ChromaCal does not collect personal data from any user, there is no information to identify, collect, or store from children.

11. Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data about you on our servers, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. All data associated with your use of the app lives on your device — and, if you've enabled iCloud sync, in your own private CloudKit database under your Apple ID.

To delete all local data: delete the ChromaCal app from your iPhone or iPad. To delete iCloud-synced data: open iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage and remove ChromaCal's iCloud data.

If you have questions about your privacy rights or this policy, contact us at support@vibe2viable.com.

12. Security

Your local app data is protected by your device's built-in security — including device passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and iOS data protection. iCloud-synced data is protected by Apple's iCloud security and your Apple ID credentials. Because we operate no servers, there is no Vibe2Viable-side attack surface for your personal information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will note them in the App Store release notes.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
